3D Scans to Low poly

3D Scans to Low poly

3D Scanning is a non-contact, non-destructive technology that digitally captures the shape of physical objects using a line of laser light. 3D scanners create “point clouds” of data from the surface of an object and they do it with immense density. We speak about the tiniest holes of the surfaces, to the pores of a human skin, literally.

In such way these two shoes were created. 3D scanned objects, one with around 7.5 million polygons and the other one 9 million. Both had to be lowered as much as possible, to LOW poly versions but still hold the major details.
